  • narrow

Spelling of the adjectives using the endings -er/-est

  • large

  • leave out the silent -e
  • big

  • Double the consonant after short vowel
  • sad
  • sadder
  • saddest

  • dirtiest
  • Change -y to -i (consonant before -y)
